Counseling
Having experienced God's deep healing in my own journey through grief, depression and the near destruction of our marriage, I learned that what I needed most was for someone to safely hold space for me without judgement, criticism, or a quick fix. What my soul longed for was for someone to guide me back to Jesus, my Healer, or wait with me until I found the strength to take the first step. I was fortunate enough to have that one – my best friend – and now, I am called and passionate about being that best friend for you.
Below you will find an overview of the Jesus-Focused methodology I use in creating safe spaces.

The Journey

Connect
In our first session, I simply want to sit with you and hear your story. I want you to be sure you feel safe and that I am the right person for you. We will spend time exploring the situations that got you to a place of wanting to connect. Jesus said, “Come to Me all you who are weary and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). As you tell your story, your soul will begin to breathe and rest.
Cultivate
In the next few sessions we will pick up where we left off and continue exploring anything that was not uncovered in the first session. Then, we will begin to develop a vision of your future self. My people perish for lack of vision (Proverbs 29:18). Without a clear vision of ourselves, we are left wandering. So, we create space for you to see the God who sees you.
Create
Next, we begin to create God’s vision of you. We will discover the “seeds” (action steps) that work best for you and plant them. It takes time for growth to occur, so when planting seeds, it is critical to not disturb the soils of your heart and allow Jesus to do the work He desires to do in you, before He does His work through you.
Community
When you read through the Gospels, you will find a strong emphasis on community. That is because real healing happens in community. While your journey with me is the beginning, God’s design is for you to connect in a small, healthy and safe community. I will help you find that so that you can continue your journey to see the God who sees you.
